Reminds Smith of the 'Byssus' specimens he sent last year; observations on the genus, thinks them nearly allied to 'Conferva'. He brought some "curious" foreign 'Fucus' from Paris, which he sent to [Dawson] Turner, difficulties of another in delineating them.
