Plant list, arranged according to the sexual system, with numbers referring to Linné, C. v. 1753. "Species plantarum". Stockholm. Synonyms from many older botanical works are given (from works by Bauhin, Tabernamont, Morison, Vaillant, Royen, Sauvages, etc.). The habitats of many plants refer to the Baleares (Majorca, Menorca, and places within the islands, such as Palma, Manacor, Mahon, Cala Galdana, etc.).
The author has dated one of the sheets: 'h. 1 M. 1762' (fol. 7), and seems to refer to earlier lists from 1760 and 1761 (see for example fol. 12, 15, 18, 19, 31, 32; Arvid H. Uggla thought that 'R. 1761 C.M. p. 20' might be 'Richard 1761. Catalogus Marjorcae p. 20). Uggla also thought that 'Dni Jussieu h. Trsis' on fol. 2 might stand for 'Domini Jussieu habet Trianonensis'.
Linnaeus, who quotes Richard for three "Rubia" in Linné, C. v. 1762-63. "Species plantarum". Stockholm. that were found in Majorca or Menorca, has entered (or corrected) the species names to a few plants. On the back of the last folio, Linnaeus notes a few habitats, some of which have als been copied in his interleaved copy of Linné, C. v. 1762-63. "Species plantarum". Stockholm (see Illecebrum paronychia, Erica tetralix).
His son Antoine Richard (1734-1807) visited the Baleares on his travels about 1760 (see Lasègue, A. 1845. "Musée botanique de M. Benjamin Delessert". Paris, p. 565).
