Translation from the Chinese of a part of Li Shih-Chen's work on natural history, "Compendium of Materia Medica" (Bencao Gangmu). The manuscript has references to volume 15 (there are 30). Numbers and letters show where the Latin notes apply.
Plants have their names in transliterated Latin and in Chinese characters.
Anonymous creator. The unknown translator has written an excuse for the fualts at the end ('Inter negotiorum moles quibus sum distentus...'.
