Description:
Early drafts for "Museum Reginae: Conchilia".
The manuscript was bound sometime after the 1930s and regroups several early drafts of the catalogue of Queen Lovis Ulrika's shell collection. The grouping of different drafts according to genera was possibly undertaken by Linnaeus, or by Johan Markus Hulth in 1912. Arvid H. Uggla also noted in his catalogue: 'Dr Johan Markus Hulth has numbered the MS according to the pages in the clean copy.' He also numbered the manuscript according to the pages in the transcript.
One set of pages consists of relatively rough drafts, with lists of species very similar to the 'Notes on Testacea' (LM/LP/MUS/1/1/1).
Another set of drafts corresponds more closely to the text in the transcript by an amanuensis (see LM/LP/MUS/1/3), and provides a detailed description of each species.
The text is partly in Latin and partly in Swedish, as it was intended to be published as a parallel text, like "Museum Regis" was.
Drawings: see pp. 177-178, 189-195, 223-224.
