Bound notebook, with rough paper cover.
Notes about different human races, starting with 'Nigri'. Extracts from travel books and other sources, made at three different times.
Ff 1-6 are mostly in Latin, they were paginated by Linnaeus fil. and mention the following travellers and their works:
Drack, F.. 1641. "Le voyage curieux autour du monde". Paris; Willliam Dampier (1651-1715); Jean-Baptiste Labat (1663-1738); Andrew Battel (fl. 1589-1614). On f. 1v, he also refers to 'Universal History vol. 7 p. 183' which probably refers to "The Modern Part of an Universal History", volume 7, published in 1759.
Ff 7-8: notes in Swedish on Ellis, H. 1748. "Voyage made to Hudson's Bay in 1746, by the Dobbs Galley and The California, to discover a Northwest Passage". London.
Ff. 9: notes in Swedish on 'Banks resa', corresponding to Banks, J. "The Endeavour Journal of Sir Joseph Banks, 1768-1771". This was still in manuscript form in Linnaeus fil.'s time, and might have been consulted by Linnaeus fil. during his London stay in 1781-1782.
