Description:
Two sets of lecture notes on the class of 'Vermes', or worms, from lectures delivered by Linnaeus pater, bound together.
- ff. 1-18: early lecture notes, probably dating from the late 1750s, just before the publication of Linné, Carl von. 1758. "Systema naturae". Stockholm (10th edition), as binomials are used, but nosometimes not the same ones as the 1758 "Systema naturae".
These early lecture notes, in a very early handwriting, date from the same period as LM/LF/ZOO/1/1/1 ('Homo'), LM/LF/ZOO/1/2/1 ('Early notes') and some of the notes within LM/LF/ZOO/1/3/1 ('Amphibia' and 'Pisces').
Daniel Solander (1733-1782) is mentioned on fol. 1 - Solander was Linnaeus pater's pupil and was in Uppsala from 1750 to 1759.
Species descriptions are often accompanied with drawings, in pen and pencil.
- ff. 19-46: lecture notes referring much more consistently to Linné, Carl von. 1758. "Systema naturae". Stockholm (10th edition). The handwriting is more regular. Some additions in the margins in pencil.
