Description:
Bound notebook with marble covers (85 ff), containing notes on medicinal preparations, starting with 'Aquae Vitae Mathioli'. The book belonged to physician Johan Moraeus, who was Carl Linaneus's father-n-law. The iside of the notebook cover has Moraeus's name and date: 'JMoraeus 1692'. The notebook was probably used beyond that year, as the varying handwriting indicates. Later remedies are classified by illnesses.
Initially paginated by Moraeus, last leaves remain unpaginated. Index at the end.
Arvid H. Uggla's list indicates that 'The volume has many loosely inserted leaves' but these were found on the outside of the volume during cataloguing (May 2015, IC) and were kept separately. They consist mainly of medical prescriptions on small slips of paper (9 ff).
