Description:
Small commonplace book used by several persons. Contains:
- ff.1-4: part of lecture (or paper) on nature and man (perhaps from Linnaeus pater). Paginated by author;
- ff. 5-9r: zoological annotations (only on 'Glires');
- ff. 9v-11r: materia medica on a few plants;
- ff. 11v-16r: 'Annotationes politicae' with Biblical references;
- ff. 16v-: in the same handwriting as above, and as a continutation, entries on animals with references to passages in the Bible where they are mentioned: starts with 'De Quadrupedibus' (fol. 16v), then 'De Avibus' (fol. 40 v.) and insects (fol. 55v). One genus per page, with references listed under the title of the genus name.
There are entries in Linnaeus fil.'s handwriting:
- fol. 36: a list entitled 'Caroli Linnaei | vestimenta Linnea' in Linnaeus fil.'s early hand, probably dating 1755 like the one on fol. 59;
- fol. 37: later handwriting, notes on materia medica;
- fol. 57: early annotations, with the date 1755, on materia medica;
- fol. 59: another list of clothing belonging to Linnaeus fil., dated 'Decembr. 11, 1755'.
