Description:
Loose leaf containing the following elements:
- rough notes on Linnaeus's movements in Holland immediately prior to his departure for England in July 1736.
- the names of his travelling companions: Herm. Beckman, Alber and Severin Lemwigh, three Danish students in theology; Rogger Philips, an English medical student; and Jean Pantin, a 'political economist'.
- Linnaeus's address whilst in London, indicating that he was 'Lodging at the Swedish Minister in Princes Square Ratcliff Highway'. The Swedish minister was the Rev. Tobias Björk. As Linnaeus did not speak any English, he probably carried this address about with him during his stay in London.
- the notes were written on the wrapper of a letter from Boerhaave, whose seal occurs twice.
