Description:
Two lists on either side of the leaf:
- List of species names, with binomial names, and page numbers from Kew, Royal Botanic Gardens and Hill, J (1768). "Hortus Kewensis, sistens herbas exoticas indigenasque rariores, in area botanica, Hortum ... Principissae Cambriae ... apud Kew ... cultas ...". London.
- List of genera and species names, indicating page and table numbers from the first three volumes of Hill, J (1759-1761). "The vegetable system ..." London.
Linnaeus was sent a set of the volumes of the "Vegetable System" by Hill in 1771. See John Hill to Carl Linnaeus, 22 August 1771, The Linnaean correspondence, linnaeus.c18.net, letter L4531. By December 1770 they were waiting for Linnaeus in Stockholm, kept by Abraham Bäck. See Carl Linnaeus to Abraham Bäck, 4 December 1771, The Linnaean correspondence, linnaeus.c18.net, letter L4592.
But it seems that Linnaeus did not receive them until much later, between March and September 1772. See John Hill to Carl Linnaeus, 2 March 1772 and 10 September 1772, The Linnaean correspondence, linnaeus.c18.net, letters L4643 and L4730.
