Description:
Three sets of fragments from lecture notes on 'Materia medica':
- 'jag senast...' (1 fol.). This fragment was initially kept with LM/LF/MED/3/7, with the introductory notes. As a note from Arvid H. Uggla indicates, it did not fit with the rest of the lectures, but is clearly from a lecture given by Linnaeus fil. on the subject of 'Materia medica' related to medicinal plants, in the late 1770s.
- '219 Asarum' (28 ff.). This fragment was kept with the 1777-1778 lecture notes (also LM/LF/MED/3/7) and was pulled out as it is an earlier set of notes from Linnaeus pater's lectures on 'Materia medica'. Each set of pages is headed by the genus name and number from Linné, Carl von. 1749. "Materia medica Liber I de plantis". Stockholm. The format corresponds to the early sheets present in LM/LF/MED/3/6) which were left in situ and are mixed with the 1773 lecture notes. If so, they correspond to the earlier part of the course, given by Linnaeus pater before he was called to attend the Bible commission, and before he was replaced by Linnaeus fil.
- '317. Linnaea' (46 ff.). Fragments of lecture notes from Linnaeus pater's lectures on 'Materia medica' concerning plants.
Each set of pages is headed by the genus name and number from Linné, Carl von. 1749. "Materia medica Liber I de plantis". Stockholm. Starts at 317. "Linnaea", followed by 364. "Theobroma Cacao" through to 423. "Buxus". The last 5 folii do not have the genera numbers and seem to be later notes from the 1770s - they concern the genera "Equisetum", "Lichenes", "Boletus", "Anagallis" and "Bistorta" (these last two genera do not figure in the 1749 "Materia medica").
